Volunteers are the foundation for numerous community organizations, charities, and events. They dedicate their time and energy selflessly, often at the expense of their personal commitments, to effect positive change. However, despite their altruism, some face unwarranted verbal assaults while simply fulfilling their roles.
It is important to recognize that volunteers are not compensated professionals; they are individuals who are passionate about the cause and wish to make a contribution. Rather than resorting to harsh criticism, please extend patience and understanding. A kind word or a simple expression of gratitude can significantly uplift their spirits!
At “Gateway To Hope,” our mission extends beyond merely distributing free food. We aim to support those in need, cultivate a sense of community, and uphold every individual’s dignity, as Christ instructed. Verbal abuse undermines our efforts and fosters a hostile atmosphere that complicates the work for everyone involved.
