On May 24th, friends, family, and Gateway to Hope volunteers gathered to celebrate the life of James Leroy Sigmun—a man whose laughter, generosity, and quiet strength left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
The room was filled with stories that made us smile through tears—tales of James’ unwavering dedication to serving others, his knack for lightening heavy moments with humor, and the countless small kindnesses that defined his legacy. Though our hearts still ache with his absence, the love shared that day was a testament to how deeply he touched this community.
James may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. As we continue the work he cared about so deeply, we carry his spirit forward—one act of compassion at a time.
