Wisdom for the Wallet & Table
Debt can feel like a heavy chain, limiting your choices and causing stress. The Bible offers clear wisdom: “The borrower is slave to the lender.” (Proverbs 22:7). But there is a path to freedom.
The “Debt Snowball” method is a powerful, practical tool to break those chains. Here’s how it works:
- List Your Debts from smallest to largest balance.
- Make Minimum Payments on all debts except the smallest.
- Attack the Smallest Debt with any extra money until it’s gone.
- Roll That Payment to the next debt on your list.
Why it works: The quick wins from paying off small debts first build momentum and hope, proving that freedom is possible. This isn’t just about math; it’s about stewardship and perseverance.
A Short Prayer:
God, give me strength and discipline on this path to freedom. Help me to be a faithful steward of all you provide. Amen.
Your Next Step: List your debts. Pray over the list. Take that first step.
