Debt Snowball: A Practical Path to Financial Freedom

Debt Snowball: A Practical Path to Financial Freedom

Wisdom for the Wallet & Table

Debt can feel like a heavy chain, limiting your choices and causing stress. The Bible offers clear wisdom: “The borrower is slave to the lender.” (Proverbs 22:7). But there is a path to freedom.

The “Debt Snowball” method is a powerful, practical tool to break those chains. Here’s how it works:

  1. List Your Debts from smallest to largest balance.
  2. Make Minimum Payments on all debts except the smallest.
  3. Attack the Smallest Debt with any extra money until it’s gone.
  4. Roll That Payment to the next debt on your list.

Why it works: The quick wins from paying off small debts first build momentum and hope, proving that freedom is possible. This isn’t just about math; it’s about stewardship and perseverance.

A Short Prayer:
God, give me strength and discipline on this path to freedom. Help me to be a faithful steward of all you provide. Amen.

Your Next Step: List your debts. Pray over the list. Take that first step.
