In 2011, a woman named Katie Davis, a 22-year-old from Tennessee, moved to Uganda and started a nonprofit organization called “Amazima Ministries.”
She began by feeding 40 children in her backyard, but soon her organization grew to feed over 1,500 children every day, as well as provide education, healthcare, and other support to those in need.
Katie’s work has inspired many young people to make a difference in the world, and her organization has become a model for sustainable community development.
