In a world where comfort often takes precedence, a select group willingly embraces hot, humid, often grueling tasks every Saturday morning.
At times it feels backbreaking. Why you ask? For fame or fortune? No. For something far more important. Their motivation runs deeper than just a connection to the cause.
It is a deep sense of purpose, community, and a calling to serve others as an expression of their faith.
It is rooted in their Christian faith. It is inspired by Christ’s teachings, who washed His disciples’ feet and urged His followers to serve “the least of these.”
The efforts of our Gateway to Hope volunteers can truly be regarded as a form of worship. Their labor serves as a testament to the abilities bestowed upon us by God and highlights the strength of human perseverance, supported by faith.
