šŸ„• Don’t Carrot All the Worries!

Put Your Trust in God

Some people carry a grocery bag. Others carry a box. And then there’s Michael, who apparently decided that carrying carrots should be an exercise in strength and determination! šŸ„•

But there’s a lot more to Michael than what he can carry.

Michael grew up on a farm, where hard work wasn’t something you read about in a book. It was simply part of everyday life. He learned early that getting the job done takes determination, responsibility, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves. And that’s exactly the kind of man he is today—a guy who gets things done.

When Michael speaks, people listen. He has a strength of character that commands respect, and you can count on him to stand up for what is right. Now, if you happen to think that cutting in line is perfectly acceptable, you may discover that Michael has a few thoughts on the subject! Let’s just say fairness matters to him, and he isn’t shy about reminding us. šŸ˜„

But here’s what makes Michael especially special: behind that strength is a genuinely tender heart. Watch how he treats people, particularly children, and you’ll see a sweetness and kindness that can melt your heart. It’s a wonderful reminder that true strength isn’t just about how much a person can carry. It’s also about how much kindness and compassion he carries within him.

And that brings us to a little reminder from our friends at Gateway to Hope.

Life can sometimes pile up worries faster than we can carry a load of carrots. Bills, unexpected challenges, family concerns, and the everyday struggles we all face can leave us feeling as though we’re carrying the weight of the world.

But God never intended for us to carry those burdens alone.

ā€œTrust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.ā€
— Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)

What a wonderful promise! We don’t have to have every answer, solve every problem, or figure out tomorrow all by ourselves. We can place our worries in God’s hands, trust His guidance, and take each day one step at a time.

At Gateway to Hope Ministries, we see that same spirit of faith in action every day. It takes hard work to serve our neighbors, but it also takes generous hearts, willing hands, and people who care. People like Michael remind us that strength and kindness make a pretty wonderful combination.

So the next time life hands you a bushel of worries, don’t carrot all of them around yourself! šŸ„• Give those worries to God. Keep your faith strong, your heart kind, and your hands ready to help someone else.
