An exciting plate of raw spinach?

Let’s face it…  nobody’s heart does a happy dance at the thought of “giving” just because they’re supposed to!   It takes more than that.

 

Depending on the weather, it can sometimes feel like you power through with a forced smile (good for you), but actually about as exciting as a plate of plain raw spinach. And giving can wander into that territory if we’re not careful: just another obligation, another box to check.

 

Here’s the fun twist:  when faithful giving is warmed by love, everything lights up. It stops being a chore and becomes nourishment;  comforting, sustaining, even powerful. 

 

Picture that humble spinach transformed into a rich, savory dip at the potluck of God’s kingdom: same simple ingredient, completely remade—and honestly? Everybody’s crowding around the bowl.

 

That’s the difference love makes. God never intended our giving to be a grim, teeth-gritting duty. He designed it to be something that strengthens others, builds up the body, and fuels hope for the road ahead.

 

So here at Gatewat to Hope, when God’s sends us spinach, we keep giving spinach!  It might not look like much on its own. But, in “His hands”, it’s never just spinach—it’s the stuff miracles are made of!
