Love Through the Window…

Not his dog. Not his car. But, still his Valentine.

That’s “Box Man” Jeffrey; lips puckered, heart wide open, blowing a kiss to a dog he just met.

He didn’t even know this pup’s name. But when their eyes met through the window, love happened.

The dog didn’t earn that kiss. It just showed up, tail wagging, face in the wind, eyes closed. And, Box Man Jeffrey responded quickly, with grace.

That’s the story of Valentine’s Day, isn’t it? And Easter, too. While we were still just passing through, God rolled down heaven’s window and blew us a kiss named Jesus. Not because we earned it. Not because we belonged to Him yet.

At Gateway to Hope, we believe every creature carries the fingerprints of the Creator — especially the ones with paws.

The dogs in cars, the birds in the air, the soil beneath our feet. That’s why Box Man Jeffrey recycles with such holy determination. Not just to save the planet, but to honor the One who made it.

This Valentine’s Day, thank you for helping us love those just passing through on two legs or four paws.

A prayer

Father, thank You for loving us before we even knew Your name. Thank You for every creature You’ve made and every corner of this earth You’ve entrusted to us. Give us the joyful determination of Box Man Jeffrey, to care for Your creation, to kiss the world with kindness, and to see Your face in every face we meet. Amen.
