Have you ever driven by a church on a Sunday morning and thought, “I couldn’t just walk in there”? Maybe you feel you don’t have the right clothes, the right words, or that your life is too messy for a pristine pew.
What if church met you exactly as you are — hot, tired, and in a t-shirt?
At Gateway To Hope, we’ve learned that worship isn’t about a building or a dress code. It’s about the state of our hearts. That’s why our worship service is intentionally different.
It happens on Saturdays right after our food distribution. The air is still buzzing with the energy of community. We’ve been on our feet, packing boxes, carrying groceries, and sharing conversations. We’re often hot, sometimes sweaty, and always a bit tired. And we come to worship exactly like that!
This is our radical, simple idea: come as you are.
This service is for everyone and anyone. It’s built on the belief that faith should be accessible, real, and down-to-earth. If you’ve ever felt on the outside looking in, this invitation is especially for you.
Stay tuned for our next post, where we’ll talk about what happens when service to others naturally flows into service to God.
Note: Thank you to Janice for providing the inspiration for this post!

Thanks for the reminder
Amen ! We all do come together because the Lord reminds us… Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them”.
Yes! Thank you, Kevin!
