The Sky-Blue Messenger: God’s Lesson at Our Doorstep

This Tuesday’s scorching 95°F heat brought a divine surprise to Gateway to Hope (3803 N.E. 7th Street, Ocala, FL 34470).

A small bird with breathtaking sky-blue wings—so vivid they mirrored the morning sky, tired and thirsty, appeared at our gate.

Mary, our compassionate ministry leader, sprang into action with a bowl of cool water. Many marveled as the bird drank, its wings shimmering with brilliant color, reminding us: “God’s mercies…are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22-23).

This encounter shapes our Saturday mission:

1. Immediate Care: “Share your food with the hungry” (Isaiah 58:7)
   • Food Distribution: 7:15-9:30 AM (early to beat the heat)
   • All Welcome: No ID required, no questions asked
2. Spiritual Nourishment: “Man shall not live on bread alone” (Matthew 4:4)
   • Worship Service: Begins right after distribution (~10:00 AM)
   • All Invited: Come as you are—dress casual, hearts open

Mary, nuestra líder compasiva, actuó rápidamente con un tazón de agua fresca. Mientras el pájaro bebía, sus alas brillaban con intenso color, recordándonos: “Las misericordias de Dios…son nuevas cada mañana” (Lamentaciones 3:22-23).
